Epiphyllum oxypetalum, also called “Queen of the Night” or “Dutchman’s Pipe Cactus”, is a widely cultivated cactus found from Mexico to Venezuela, in Brazil, and in many parts of Asia. It blooms for a few weeks each year, with each flower lasting only one night. It produces an astoundingly heady fragrance, said to attract pollinators from as much as 5 miles away.
